Mr. Goyal belongs to a business family from the state of Punjab, India. He began his entrepreneurial journey immediately after completing his engineering degree, starting with the manufacturing of basic chemicals. In the 1990s, taking on a challenge from Ranbaxy, he established what is now one of the leading manufacturers of pharmaceutical intermediates near the city of Chandigarh.

Since then, the unit has become one of the largest bromine-handling facilities in India. Over time, it has expanded its portfolio by adding many critical pharmaceutical intermediates. In 2003, he established SCL Lifesciences' second manufacturing facility near the intermediates plant on a larger 10-acre plot of land. This unit was set up to manufacture a range of APIs and advanced intermediates. The facility received its first EU GMP approval in 2005. It now houses multiple manufacturing blocks and exports a significant portion of its production to several regulated markets worldwide.

Mr. Goyal has extensive experience in all areas of management. Known for his passion for optimization and perfection, he has also led the development of the company's in-house ERP systems. The excellent reputation that SCL Lifesciences enjoys among its peers is largely attributed to the principles and values he has instilled. In his latest role as a leader, he is now focused on setting the goals and vision for the next generation of SCL Lifesciences' business and growth.

As part of new initiatives, Mr. Goyal has successfully transformed the concept of a dedicated knowledge development center into reality with the construction and execution of the SCL Knowledge Centre at Genome Valley in Hyderabad.

Mr. Sengupta has played a key role in establishing the strong international footprint that SCL Lifesciences enjoys today. An engineering graduate, he pursued his post-graduation in International Trade from IIFT, New Delhi. With over 40 years of industrial experience - including 25 years in the pharmaceutical industry - he has been instrumental in driving corporate value creation by partnering with clients worldwide, resulting in exports to almost all regions, including most regulated markets. After working in several companies, including a stint with a Tata Group company, he joined SCL Lifesciences in 2000 and was co-opted as a Board member in 2003.

Working closely with Mr. Goyal, Mr. Sengupta has helped build SCL Lifesciences international business from the ground up, transforming it into the globally recognized entity it is today. His leadership has been vital in expanding the company's reach and strengthening its presence in key markets. His ability to identify opportunities and forge strong business relationships has contributed significantly to the company's sustained growth.

Driven by his passion for innovation and expansion, he played a crucial role in conceptualizing the SCL Knowledge Centre in Hyderabad. Currently, he is focused on several strategic initiatives aimed at propelling the company into niche and futuristic domains, including mRNA vaccine ingredients and specialty products. His forward-thinking approach continues to shape SCL Lifesciences long-term vision and market leadership.

Saurav completed his Chemical Engineering degree from Syracuse University, New York, in 2013, around the time Mitsubishi Corporation invested in SCL Lifesciences. To gain a broader perspective on the chemicals and allied industries and to understand the systems and processes followed in large multinational corporations, he had the opportunity to work with Mitsubishi Corporation. His tenure included roles in both the New Delhi and New Jersey offices, where he successfully contributed to Mitsubishi’s sales operations.

During his five years with Mitsubishi, He marketed a diverse range of products, including agrochemicals, excipients, APIs, fine chemicals, and advanced intermediates. His experience in handling complex markets and business strategies provided him with valuable industry insights. This expertise has been instrumental in shaping his leadership at SCL Lifesciences.

Given his background and SCL Lifesciences ongoing growth journey, He was appointed to lead the critical New Product Development portfolio. He now drives this initiative alongside a dedicated portfolio management team and the operations team at the company's API manufacturing site. Additionally, he played a key role in executing the SCL Knowledge Centre project and spearheading capacity expansion initiatives at the API manufacturing facility.
